Maneesh the Twister has been a staple of the Bay Area music scene for over 15 years as part of Surya Dub, Dub Mission, and Dhamaal. Maneesh has been voted “Best Club DJ” in the SF Bay Guardian. He is the founder of the Surya Dub collective that helped kick off the Bay Area BASS era. He was co-founder of the Dhamaal Artist Collective and his productions appear on the Dhamaal Soundsystem CD as well as XBOX 360 game “Project Gotham” and Sony BMG India’s Shamur compilation and Kush Arora’s “Boiling Over.” Maneesh has quite eclectic tastes and spins anything with BASS. He has shared the stage with legendary Jamaican producers Lee “Scratch” Perry and Scientist, Thievery Corporation, Bassnectar, Mad Professor, Francois K, Kode 9, Adrian Sherwood, Mala, The Bug and Warrior Queen, Flying Lotus, Eskmo, Visionary, Smith & Mighty/RSD, State of Bengal, , Karsh Kale, Nickodemus, Z-Trip, DJ Vadim, Liondub, Dan the Automator, Kush Arora, Dub Gabriel, Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi, DJ G, Antiserum and Roommate. Vinnie Esparza is a staple of the S.F. DJ scene and spins at various parties around the city. In 2000 Vinnie won “Best Local DJ” in the Bay Guardian’s “Best of the Bay” edition. The next year he won the City Search Editor’s Award for “Best Local DJ.” He has also been nominated for “Best Local DJ” in the SF Weekly in both 2001 and 2003. He was the first DJ to play the Monterey Jazz Festival on their 50th Anniversary and was asked to return the following year. He has also been asked to spin the Quebec City Jazz Festival, and was again their first-ever DJ booking. He has compiled the Loose & Juicy collection for Vanguard Records, Viva CuBop 2 for Ubiquity Records and coordinated the reissue of Bobby Montez’s Jungle Fantastique for the same label. Vinnie spins a wide variety of music including roots reggae, jazz, hip hop, and soul to name only a few.
