San Francisco: Fur Free Friday
Details
Date:

November 23

Time:

02:00 pm - 05:00 pm

Please join local activists to protest UGG’s on Fur Free Friday. Every year, millions of sheep are castrated and parts of their tails are cut off- often without any painkillers- before they are finally slaughtered and their skin is torn off to make UGG boots and other shearling products. Contrary to what many consumers think, “shearling” is not sheared wool; it is actually the sheep’s skin tanned with the wool still attached to it.
